A grease fire at a tableside cooking station interrupted KPOT service in Rockville/North Bethesda on September 30. Fire officials say flames spread through exhaust ductwork to the second floor, causing more than $500,000 in damage.

Chubby Group is planning nine Bay Area restaurants across five brands, from Wagyu Factory on the Peninsula to Chubby Skewers in Fremont. The expansion adds more ways to grill, simmer and order Japanese beef.
