Sushi can be the beginning of dinner at Sea Story Sushi in Clarksville, TN. The new restaurant at 2131 Lowes Drive puts nigiri and rolls alongside ramen, tempura, skewers and hibachi under one all-you-can-eat price.
Sea Story began welcoming guests with a soft opening August 29. That introductory period ran through September 11, followed by the grand opening September 12.
From nigiri to the hot kitchen
The menu gives diners room to move between sushi and cooked dishes as the meal unfolds. A table can order rolls and nigiri, then turn to tempura or hibachi on the next round. Ramen and skewers extend the choices beyond the sushi menu.
The operator says the restaurant’s concept draws inspiration from dining in Las Vegas and New York. Its bar serves cocktails, sake, soju, beer, wine and Japanese spirits alongside the food.
Ninety minutes and another round
Sea Story’s house rules give each table 90 minutes, starting with its first order. A round can contain up to 20 items total, with a maximum of five servings of any one item. Diners can place another round after that.
The rounds reward ordering a little at a time: uneaten food can carry a $1-per-piece charge, and AYCE dishes cannot be taken home. There is room to try a different part of the menu without committing the table to all of it at once.
Children under four feet tall receive half off the regular adult AYCE price, and children under two eat free. Parties of six or more have a 20 percent gratuity added.
The restaurant takes walk-ins. Large groups can contact the team to coordinate a visit, but ordinary advance reservations are not part of its published policy.
