WASAII Buffet is planning a 2027 opening at Hallandale Shopping Center in Hallandale Beach, Florida, taking 12,548 square feet at 1710 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd.
Owner Caifeng Li told What Now Miami that the restaurant will operate as an all-you-can-eat concept combining Chinese and Japanese food with sushi, seafood, grill selections and hot pot. An exact opening date has not yet been announced.
The lease was first announced in May by Cohen Commercial Realty, which represented landlord Precise Property. At the time, the brokerage described WASAII as a full-service Asian buffet featuring Chinese and Japanese cuisine along with an interactive hot pot component.
At 12,548 square feet, WASAII will be a sizable buffet operation, particularly given the number of formats planned under one roof. The restaurant appears designed to combine several dining experiences often offered separately, including a conventional buffet, sushi, grilled items and hot pot.
The space also has a notable restaurant history. It most recently housed Kosher de Brazil, a kosher Brazilian steakhouse that opened there in 2024 and operated in an all-you-can-eat rodizio format, with tableside meats accompanied by a self-service market table of salads and sides. Florida licensing records now list Kosher de Brazil as closed.
Before that, 1710 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd. was home for years to Tatiana Restaurant & Nightclub, a large Eastern European and Russian restaurant known for live entertainment, cabaret-style shows and an extensive menu. The address has therefore supported large-format restaurant operations well before WASAII’s arrival.
WASAII Buffet Inc. was incorporated in Florida in March 2026, with Li listed as president and registered agent. No additional WASAII locations or broader expansion plans have been announced.
For now, the main remaining detail is the calendar. Li has confirmed 2027 as the target, with the specific opening date still to come.
