Gainesville’s wait for Texas de Brazil now has a spring 2027 target, according to new reporting from What Now Jacksonville. The Brazilian-American churrascaria is planned for Butler Town Center at 3596 SW 32nd Court, Suite 60, where it would occupy approximately 6,300 square feet.
The opening would be the chain’s first in Gainesville. Butler’s own directory lists the restaurant for early 2027, supporting the newer timeframe for the long-planned arrival.
This has been on Gainesville’s dining calendar for a while. Mainstreet Daily News included Texas de Brazil in a November 2025 development roundup with an anticipated 2026 opening, then listed it as coming soon again in July. The chain’s location directory still carries a 2026 label, while the landlord and October 15 report point to 2027. An exact opening day has not been announced.
When it arrives, the draw will be the combination Texas de Brazil regulars know well: continuous tableside meat service, a substantial salad area and hot dishes that deserve some room on the plate. Picanha is a natural starting point, joined on the chain’s menu by garlic picanha, flank steak, filet mignon, leg of lamb and Brazilian sausage.
The salad area gives its own reasons to make a return trip. Smoked salmon, hearts of palm, imported cheeses and charcuterie appear alongside selections such as pineapple carpaccio. Hot offerings include feijoada black beans and lobster bisque, while cheese bread, garlic mashed potatoes and fried bananas accompany the meal. Regulars know to leave a little room for the cheese bread.
Those are examples from the national menu; the company notes that selections vary by restaurant and some featured meats carry an additional charge. Gainesville-specific pricing, hours and the final local offering are still to come.
Texas de Brazil’s fixed-price meal generally includes the meat service, salad area and sides, with drinks and desserts priced separately. For Gainesville diners, the appeal is having that full churrascaria experience closer to home. A local opening date and the first reservations will be the next details to watch for.
