A former Sweet Tomatoes address is back in the buffet business. Supreme Crab AYCE is serving at 625 Coleman Avenue in San Jose, California, with seafood, sushi, Wagyu beef and prime rib among its advertised attractions.
The restaurant’s official locations page identifies San Jose as being in soft opening. Diners were posting reviews by early October, although an exact first-service date has not been publicly confirmed.
Supreme Crab’s current offering reaches well beyond the seafood boil suggested by its name. Its website lists snow crab legs, oysters and other seafood alongside sushi, malatang and dim sum. Prime rib and a selection of beef cuts give the meat side of the buffet a substantial role.
For anyone whose buffet loyalties tend to divide between the sushi counter and the carving station, this is a fairly diplomatic arrangement.
The restaurant’s advertised prices are $29.99 for lunch and $45 for dinner. Its website describes the premium selections across the concept without spelling out every lunch and dinner inclusion.
The Coleman Avenue restaurant has been in the works for some time. What Now San Francisco reported its alcohol-license application in August 2025, identifying Chen Huang as the operator behind the project.
That report also connected Huang with Seapot and Sea Wagyu House in Milpitas. Supreme Crab already had a Redwood City restaurant at 373 Main Street, where Cajun-style seafood, including snow crab legs, shrimp and crawfish, formed part of the offering.
At Coleman Avenue, the format is a sizeable change from the soup-and-salad buffet diners knew as Sweet Tomatoes. Seafood and beef now share the billing, with dim sum and sushi adding several competing routes through lunch.
The official website also lists a future Supreme Crab location at 100 East Palm Avenue in Burbank. That restaurant remains marked coming soon, with no opening date stated.
San Jose is the one serving now. The Coleman Avenue restaurant lists weekday lunch from noon to 3:30 p.m. and all-day weekend service from noon to 11 p.m.; guests planning an evening visit can check the restaurant’s current dinner hours as its soft opening continues.
