South Sacramento has a new unlimited-sushi address. Family-owned Sake Sushi is open at 6930 65th Street, Suite 117, in Pacific Plaza, the shopping center anchored by SF Supermarket. According to October 29 reporting by The Sacramento Bee, the restaurant offers all-you-can-eat sushi for $39.99 per adult, with a menu that gives diners a substantial number of decisions to make before the first plate arrives.
The headline number is 88: that is the reported total across hand rolls, specialty rolls and nigiri selections, not 88 different rolls. It is a sizable roster nonetheless, with spicy salmon and crunch rolls sharing space with baked, fried and other cooked creations. For a party with mixed raw-fish enthusiasm, those distinctions matter.
The restaurant also has a Sacramento roll that makes a persuasive argument for ordering something named after the city. Its reported lineup includes tempura shrimp, crab meat and salmon, finished with unagi sauce, spicy mayo, lemon, scallion and masago. That is quite a neighborhood introduction for one roll.
Children ages 7–9 are listed at $20.99 for the unlimited option; ages 4–6 are $12.99. Those prices give families something more useful than a generic “kids welcome” line. The precise opening day has not been established, but the restaurant was operating by the time the Bee reported its arrival on October 29.
Sushi is not the entire conversation here. The restaurant’s online ordering menu lists appetizers, soups and salads, fried rice, chow mein, teriyaki, sashimi and several styles of rolls. Local reporting highlights more than 20 starters, including yakitori, takoyaki and edamame. The ordering menu also shows gyoza, shrimp tempura and spicy garlic edamame. Those are restaurant menu offerings; the complete list of dishes included in the $39.99 AYCE plan has not been separately confirmed.
And despite the name, Sake Sushi is not pouring sake. The Bee reports no alcoholic beverages, with lemonade, green tea, soft drinks and Ramune among the choices instead. The restaurant’s reported hours are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
For Sacramento sushi regulars, the most useful next detail will be the restaurant’s actual AYCE order sheet: which of those 88 sushi choices are included, and whether any specialty items have separate limits. In the meantime, a $39.99 unlimited option and a menu with this much range have put a new name on the south Sacramento sushi map.
