Red Geranium Restaurant in New Harmony, Indiana, has announced a Sunday breakfast buffet schedule beginning October 4, with service every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The adult price is $16, and the omelet station is part of the arrangement.
The restaurant’s official announcement lists bacon, sausage, eggs and breakfast potatoes, plus omelets and changing chef selections each week. It is a breakfast built around familiar staples, with the weekly additions giving repeat visitors something new to inspect before committing valuable plate space.
Children ages 6–12 pay $8; children 5 and under eat free. The restaurant is at 520 North Street, part of the New Harmony Inn Resort dining offering. The six-hour Sunday window runs on Central time, leaving room for both early bacon people and those who consider 11 a.m. a perfectly respectable breakfast hour.
Breakfast buffets have appeared on the Red Geranium calendar before this October announcement. The town’s business-event listings advertised them on February 22 and March 29, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The current schedule starts an hour earlier than those listings and expressly says every Sunday.
October 4 is the start named in the current weekly schedule. The buffet itself has an earlier history, although the spring listings do not specify whether it was weekly or occasional.
Red Geranium has a much longer dining history than its latest buffet calendar. A historical resort press kit traces its origins to Jane Owen and Celia Turner’s bread-and-tea service in 1960, a move to the Green Gothic building in 1962, and formal lunch and dinner service in 1963. The inn itself opened in 1974.
More than six decades later, the Sunday offering keeps a small element of variation beside the breakfast regulars. The announcement does not name the rotating dishes, so the chef’s choices remain the surprise portion of the meal. Bacon, reassuringly, has already made the published list.
