Nếp Sài Gòn Prepares Vietnamese BBQ, Hot Pot and AYCE Dishes for Orlando

The Lee Vista restaurant will pair tabletop grilling, communal hot pot and traditional Vietnamese flavors.

Nếp Sài Gòn BBQ & Hot Pot is still working toward an Orlando opening near Orlando International Airport, but the restaurant now has enough detail behind it to look considerably more interesting than another generic hot-pot arrival.

The restaurant is taking over a former Moe’s Southwest Grill at 6817 Eagle Watch Drive in Lee Vista Promenade. Owner Oanh Vo originally told What Now Orlando that she hoped to open in early August, a target that has clearly passed. Orlando Weekly reported Sept. 28 that Nếp Sài Gòn remained forthcoming, describing a menu of Vietnamese barbecue, roast specialties, hot pot and street-food staples.

A Vietnamese table built around sharing

The more distinctive part of the project is the format. Vo has described Nếp Sài Gòn as a communal restaurant built around a tabletop grill and hot pot, with some all-you-can-eat dishes and other larger portions meant to be shared. That distinction matters: the restaurant has not announced that the entire menu will operate as AYCE.

Additional pre-opening reporting described premium meats, fresh seafood, vegetables, herbs, rice-paper wraps and house dipping sauces, with diners expected to grill, wrap and share food at the table. Beer and wine are also planned. The concept draws from the Vietnamese family-table tradition rather than simply applying Vietnamese flavors to a standard hot-pot template.

Vietnamese hot pot itself is hardly a novelty; lẩu is a long-established communal form of dining with regional variations across Vietnam. What is less common in the U.S. abundance-dining landscape is a restaurant explicitly combining Vietnamese barbecue, hot pot, tabletop cooking and a partial AYCE component under one roof. In other words, the unusual part is the restaurant model, not the existence of Vietnamese hot pot.

Local restaurant roots – and an opening date still to come

Vo also has documented history in Central Florida’s Vietnamese restaurant business. Florida corporate records list her as president and registered agent of Pho Au Lac Restaurant & Teahouse LLC in Winter Springs; that company filed a voluntary dissolution effective June 15, 2026. State records also list Vo as manager of TOPKD Group LLC, whose principal address is 6758 Eagle Watch Drive – the same address used by Pho Neo Asian Kitchen & Boba Tea, just across the Lee Vista area from the new restaurant.

That public-record connection should not be stretched into a formal sister-restaurant claim: neither Vo nor the businesses have publicly described Pho Neo and Nếp Sài Gòn that way. It does, however, establish that Nếp is emerging from an operator with existing local Vietnamese restaurant ties rather than from a first-time restaurant project.

The biggest unanswered questions are now the ones Buffet Authority readers are likely to care about most: exactly which dishes will be all-you-can-eat, whether BBQ and hot pot will be sold together or through separate packages, what the pricing will look like, and when the doors will actually open. The original August timetable is gone, and no firm replacement date has been announced.

If the finished restaurant follows the model described so far, Orlando will be getting something more specific than another hot-pot entry: a Vietnamese shared-table concept built around grilling, broth, rice paper, herbs and the peculiar magic of ordering enough food that everyone at the table becomes involved in the logistics.
