MSC World Asia will launch with two buffets and an expanded lineup of food included in the cruise fare, including a new five-stall market on the pool deck.
MSC Cruises announced the expanded complimentary dining lineup October 26, ahead of the ship’s scheduled December 4 start in the Mediterranean. The company describes it as its largest offering of complimentary dining yet, with more options for meals and food on the go.
The line counts 20 dining venues across the ship, combining complimentary choices with specialty restaurants.
Five food stalls by the pool
The new Aqua Food Market will sit on the Aqua Deck, with five stalls serving freshly prepared, customizable food. MSC names salads, loaded fries, sandwiches, pita breads and desserts among the choices, with passengers able to eat there or take food back to the pool.
Nearby, the new Buffet Grab & Go will supply ready-to-take bites. That gives passengers another way to pick something up between activities, alongside the ship’s two full buffets.
The Pan-Asian Street Food concept adds a complimentary daytime window serving dishes such as crispy seafood balls and bao buns. It is part of a three-in-one venue that also contains a specialty restaurant and bar, with the sit-down restaurant offered as a separate specialty-dining experience.
Elsewhere, Promenade Bites will offer savory and sweet snacks, while The Harbour Bar & Bites serves families in the ship’s Family Aventura district. Pizza & Burger, beside Luna Park in the World Galleria, is described as serving around the clock.
The food market and additional pickup points broaden the included choices beyond a traditional trip through the buffet. Loaded fries by the pool and a daytime bao stop are fairly specific answers to the question of what to eat between meals.
Two buffets have a precedent
As pleasing as the double-buffet detail is, MSC has done it before. The line’s February 2025 announcement for MSC World America explicitly listed two buffets ahead of that ship’s April debut.
The ship is the third in MSC’s World Class series. Despite the name, its debut season is in the Mediterranean, with seven-night sailings and ports including Barcelona, Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia for Rome, Naples and Valletta. December 4 is the scheduled start of service.
