KPOT Opens in Omaha, NE, While Valencia, CA, and Madison, TN, Remain Coming Soon

October 5, 2026 • Nebraska, California, Tennessee • BY BUFFET AUTHORITY

KPOT has reached the table in Omaha, Nebraska, while two other expansion addresses remain on the waiting list. The chain’s Village Pointe restaurant opened September 7 at 305 N 170th Street, bringing all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue and hot pot to the former Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse.

The operator’s opening banner is backed by Grow Omaha’s September 10 report that the restaurant had begun serving earlier that week. Corporate pages for Valencia, California, and Madison, Tennessee, meanwhile, still identify those locations as coming soon.

Omaha gets the grill and the soup pot

Omaha’s posted weekday lunch price is $21.99 through 4 p.m.; dinner, weekends and holidays cost $31.99. Diners can choose Korean barbecue or hot pot, with both formats available for an additional $5. The table chooses its format together, and the restaurant lists a two-hour dining limit.

That puts the familiar KPOT decision right at the start of the meal: grill, soup, or enough activity on the table to keep everybody happily occupied. The Omaha restaurant opens at 11:30 a.m. daily, closes at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and takes its last seating an hour before closing.

The address represents a second attempt to bring the chain to Omaha. Grow Omaha reported in April 2025 that an earlier plan for the former Granite City building at Westroads had fallen through. KPOT subsequently settled on Village Pointe.

Johnny’s had closed there October 31, 2024, according to Grow Omaha’s contemporary closing notice. Its former dining room now accommodates a considerably different dinner ritual, with guests doing their own grilling and simmering.

Two future addresses have different timelines

The Valencia listing places KPOT at 24201 Valencia Boulevard, Suite 3690, in Valencia Town Center. The mall included the restaurant in a May 1 announcement of new dining, entertainment and retail tenants arriving in phases during 2026 and 2027.

That overall development schedule does not give KPOT a specific opening day. The restaurant’s own location page lists neither operating hours nor a confirmed debut.

The Tennessee page is labeled Nashville but gives a Madison address: 1601 Gallatin Pike N. It also lists no opening date or hours. Omaha’s menu and pricing should not be assumed to apply to either future restaurant before those operators publish their own terms.

Together, the three addresses show the chain at different points in its expansion. Omaha diners can make dinner plans now. Valencia and Madison diners still need an opening announcement before making the trip.
