Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, is serving a seasonal all-you-can-eat supper for Jack-tober Fest, adding smoked bratwurst to an evening of Southern food and lumberjack competition. The event runs September 19 through October 31; the company highlighted the supper in an October 5 announcement.
The advertised menu puts pit-smoked pork butt alongside smoked bratwurst with peppers. Green beans with onions, white cheddar macaroni and cheese, and creamy potato salad fill out the plate, with garlic cheddar biscuits and country apple cobbler completing the supper. The bratwurst brings the Bavarian accent. The biscuits have apparently elected to remain Southern.
Jack-tober’s beer festivities include a stein-holding competition. The unlimited offer covers the supper; the event does not advertise unlimited beer.
The biscuits come first
Dinner precedes the lumberjack show. The venue’s FAQ recommends arriving 75 minutes before showtime for the meal, leaving the supper its own part of the evening before the competition begins. The approximately 90-minute show then puts the strenuous work on the other side of the grandstand.
Seating is in a climate-controlled outdoor grandstand at 2530 Parkway. The meal and performance share an evening at the attraction, with the seasonal menu served ahead of the lumberjack competition.
Pigeon Forge’s fall tourism preview includes Jack-tober Fest in the seasonal calendar, with the October 31 finish setting the window for this supper. The company’s announcement gives no single price covering all ticket categories or meal inclusions. The operator handles current booking details and asks guests with dietary questions to contact the venue ahead of time at 865-366-3330.
The seasonal adjustment keeps the Southern supper recognizable while finding a place for smoked bratwurst. Between the macaroni, biscuits, and cobbler, autumn has joined an existing meal rather than sent it back to the drawing board. There is still another helping before the show.
