Butter chicken, saag paneer and biryani are among the reasons to make lunch plans at Indian Bistro, a new Columbia, Maryland, restaurant serving a buffet every day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The restaurant takes over a former Dunkin’ at 8765 Centre Park Drive, Suite 14, in Columbia Palace Plaza. Its new Indian dining room sits in the Giant-anchored shopping center off Route 108.
Maryland food creator Kimberly Kong, who writes as Nomtastic Kim, described the buffet in a September 21 visit. Her account reported an $18.99 lunch with chai included and disclosed that the restaurant had invited her.
Curries, samosas and a sweet finish
Kong’s visit included butter chicken, saag paneer, samosas, biryani and bread, with a rotating mix of vegetarian and nonvegetarian curries. Gulab jamun provided dessert.
Operator Mohammed Bhuiyan brings experience with America’s Best Wings and Subway franchises in Maryland and Pennsylvania, according to WMAR’s pre-opening coverage. Plans called for an 80-seat restaurant in the former coffee-shop space.
Dinner switches to an à la carte menu, with service reported as 4–10 p.m. Indian Bistro also offers takeout and online ordering.
