Hot Pot Spot has soft-opened in Gilbert, Arizona, pairing all-you-can-eat hot pot with Chinese BBQ skewers that rotate automatically at the table. With the turning taken care of, diners can give the broth and their next skewer selection a little more attention.
The restaurant announced an October 3 soft opening at noon in Suite 103 at 1817 E. Baseline Road, an address previously used by Stellar66 Chinese Restaurant & Bar.
Recent food-creator visits suggest the broth choice deserves some deliberation. In an October 8 reel, Jenzbitez describes nine options, including jasmine Sichuan and mushroom, plus refrigerated ingredients diners select for their pots. Beef and lamb appear alongside seafood such as snow crab legs, mussels and squid.
SaturdayFATurday’s October 7 visit, disclosed as hosted, singles out a passion-fruit broth. Anyone inclined to order the usual has a tempting reason to pause.
Hot pot, BBQ and the after-nine offer
On the BBQ side, diners choose their skewers, let the equipment turn them and finish them with spice, keeping both simmering and sizzling in play.
Jenzbitez reports hot pot at $34.99 plus $5 to add BBQ, while SaturdayFATurday quotes $39.99 for the combined meal. Both creators also describe a $29.99 all-you-can-eat skewers-only offer after 9 p.m. daily. For dedicated skewer fans, procrastinating on dinner has its perks.
