Herndon, VA’s H Pot Plans an Iron Flame Rebrand and Menu Expansion

Renovations are expected in roughly three months; the current restaurant remains open.

October 6, 2026 • Virginia • BY BUFFET AUTHORITY

H Pot in Herndon, Virginia, is preparing to become Iron Flame Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, with renovations and additional menu items planned for the existing restaurant. The grills and broth have a future refresh on the calendar; dinner is still available in the meantime.

The Burn reported October 5 that signs and social-media notices point to renovations beginning in about three months. The new Iron Flame identity is expected after that work. A firm construction start, completion date and rebrand debut have not been announced in the material reviewed.

The restaurant remains open as usual at 400 Elden Street in Herndon Centre. That makes this a preview of a change at an operating AYCE business, rather than a new opening or an immediate closing notice.

H Pot’s current menu gives diners a choice of hot pot or Korean barbecue. Weekday lunch, from noon to 4 p.m., is listed at $20.99 for adults choosing either format. Weekday dinner is $29.99, and the weekend adult price is $30.99. These are H Pot’s present published rates; no Iron Flame pricing has been established.

The menu also sets a two-hour dining limit and requires the table to agree on its dining option. Choosing both hot pot and barbecue costs another $5 per person. For a table unable to settle the broth-versus-grill debate, H Pot has already priced a compromise.

H Pot has been part of the center’s dining lineup since late June 2024, when The Burn covered its opening after an earlier project announcement. The planned refresh arrives a little more than two years into that run.

What the expanded menu will contain is still unspecified. A new name alone does not establish new ownership, and the available announcement does not explain whether renovation work will interrupt service or how long any interruption might last.

For now, posted hours are noon to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The next useful news will be the work schedule and the actual Iron Flame menu. Until then, the current hot-pot-and-barbecue operation keeps serving.
