Chantilly’s former Hibachi Buffet & Grill space is serving all-you-can-eat meals again as Gangnam AYCE Buffet. The restaurant is at 13948 Metrotech Drive in the Sully Place shopping center.
The Burn reported the successor restaurant operating September 10, and Northern Virginia Magazine included it in its October 2 roundup of restaurants new to the area. An exact grand-opening date has not been established.
The restaurant’s website describes a pan-Asian buffet with sushi, hibachi-style meats and seafood, other Asian dishes, vegetables and sides.
Despite a name borrowed from Seoul’s Gangnam district, the advertised format is a pan-Asian buffet, rather than a tabletop Korean barbecue restaurant.
The prior Hibachi Buffet & Grill opened in 2011, according to The Burn, giving the address a buffet history stretching back 15 years. The reporting identifies Gangnam as its successor but does not establish whether ownership carried over.
Published hours are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Current meal prices were not available in the public material reviewed.
