Fresh Mint Indian Grill’s Sunday lunch buffet is back in Morgantown, West Virginia, according to the local menu guide and recent diner reports. For people who had been asking where the Indian buffets went, 40 High Street has a Sunday answer again.
NCWV’s Menu Guide explicitly advertises the buffet’s return, and an October discussion among Morgantown diners describes Sunday service. The return predates this month: an older 2026 restaurant thread already contained a comment saying Fresh Mint had brought its Sunday buffet back. An exact restart date has not been announced.
The buffet had left a noticeable hole in local dining discussions. In February 2025, customers were asking about Indian buffets and recalling Fresh Mint’s earlier lunch service. One commenter reported calling and being told the restaurant offered a sampler rather than a buffet at that point. A customer review dating to January 2020 also documents the earlier buffet.
Fresh Mint’s cooking reaches across South Indian, North Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes. Its regular menu includes dosas, biryanis, Chettinad preparations, tandoori kebabs, paneer dishes and familiar curry orders. Masala dosa comes with potato stuffing, chutney and sambar; the dessert menu includes kheer, gulab jamun and rasmalai. That menu describes the kitchen’s range; it is not a published roster of Sunday buffet dishes.
The restaurant’s roots run through Pittsburgh. A 2020 Morgantown magazine profile reported that James Kraess and chef Suresh Subbaiah opened Fresh Mint in Morgantown in 2018 after managing an Indian restaurant in Pittsburgh. The profile singled out Subbaiah’s biryani and the restaurant’s South Indian specialties, including dosas and Chettinad dishes. Kraess said its following already reached Clarksburg, Grafton and Kingwood.
