Firepot Seafood & Hotpot AYCE is open in Stafford, Texas, bringing Houston-area buffet fans individual hot pots alongside a spread of prepared dishes, drinks and desserts.
The restaurant advertised an August 27 launch at 11375 Fountain Lake Drive. Firepot’s website now announces that it is open, and early September visitor coverage described diners trying the new restaurant.
Firepot describes six broth choices and eight dipping sauces, with meats, seafood and vegetables for the individual pots. Its buffet offering also includes prepared hot dishes, milk tea and desserts; opening-period visitor coverage showed sushi and dim sum.
Hot pot with a different backdrop
The dining room follows underwater and intergalactic themes, according to developer Dhanani Private Equity Group’s opening announcement.
The restaurant has another unusual touch on its website: a breakeven calculator that lets diners add what they have eaten and compare an estimated à la carte value with an AYCE meal. Firepot labels those estimates as entertainment.
There is a two-hour dining limit, with a charge for excessive leftovers. Weekday service runs 11 a.m.–3 p.m. and 5–10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday hours are 11 a.m.–11 p.m. For reservations and current meal prices, Firepot lists 346-519-8888.
