The restaurant is offering 25 percent off unlimited Korean barbecue during its final week.

October 19, 2026 • Indiana • BY BUFFET AUTHORITY

Dae Gee Korean BBQ in Fort Wayne, Indiana, will close permanently after Saturday, October 24, ending a run of nearly three years. The restaurant announced its departure Sunday and is offering 25% off unlimited Korean barbecue during its final week.

The closing affects the locally owned restaurant at 4910 North Clinton Street. WPTA’s October 19 report confirms the final date and farewell offer; a reason for the closure has not been disclosed.

The restaurant’s published KBBQ menu lays out the meal regulars will recognize: pork belly, spicy or nonspicy pork shoulder, chicken and brisket, with banchan alongside the tabletop grilling. Premium choices add selections such as galbee short ribs, with shrimp and other extras appearing on the premium dinner menu.

That menu lists deluxe and premium versions at lunch and dinner. Posted adult prices range from $25.99 for deluxe lunch to $46.99 for premium dinner before the announced discount; the farewell offer does not itemize package-by-package totals.

The wider kitchen menu includes Korean fried wings, kimchi poutine fries, bibimbap and other cooked dishes. The advertised 25% discount applies to unlimited Korean barbecue, giving regulars a final week for another round of the grill favorites.

A Fort Wayne chapter that began in 2023

Dae Gee’s announced grand opening was November 16, 2023, in the former Fish House Restaurant & Seafood Market. Rick Evans, owner of Evans Toyota, and the dealership’s general manager Sam Choe were identified as the franchisees bringing the Colorado-born brand to Fort Wayne.

The opening was described in company and trade coverage as Dae Gee’s first U.S. franchise. The wider brand had started in Colorado around 2012 and gained national television exposure on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” in 2015.

For customers hoping to return before the last grill is cleared, the date to work around is October 24. The website currently lists limited operating days, and separate final-week hours have not been confirmed, so it is worth checking the restaurant’s latest schedule before making a farewell trip. We’re sorry to see it go.
