Charcoal Grill & Modern Buffet has opened at Destiny USA in Syracuse, New York, bringing an all-you-can-eat mix of grilled meats, seafood and sushi to Level 1 of the mall’s Canyon area.
Destiny USA describes a spread that includes steaks, seafood, international dishes and American favorites. The restaurant’s own menu adds sushi to the picture. A new buffet is a perfectly respectable reason to go to the mall without needing anything.
The restaurant’s published prices put adult dinner at $24.99 Monday through Thursday, when buffet service runs from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday and on holidays, the adult price is $29.99, with service from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Drinks are included. A 12% gratuity is added for all parties; the restaurant says no additional tipping is needed.
Children’s prices vary by height and age category, and the restaurant advertises a 10% discount for military diners and seniors 65 and older. There is no Monday-through-Thursday lunch buffet on the published schedule.
Takeout has its own price ladder. A regular buffet box is $9.99 per pound, a seafood mix excluding snow crab is $11.99, sushi is $13.99 and sashimi is $19.99. Snow crab legs have a separate $23.99-per-pound takeout price. Those are carryout categories; the posted price list does not spell out which premium seafood selections are included in each dine-in service.
The opening completes a project that has been on Destiny USA’s public calendar for some time. The mall announced the planned restaurant in January 2025, naming Charcoal Grill and Modern Buffet among its upcoming additions to the Canyon.
The operator also has a New York City connection. Its Syracuse recruiting profile identifies another restaurant at Linden Center, where Charcoal Grill & Modern Buffet operates in Queens. That location publishes its own prices and hours, so Syracuse diners should use the local menu when planning a visit.
