The Halloween contest covers a two-night trip and four buffet reviews, with entries closing October 31.

Casino.org is offering one winner a Las Vegas trip built around four buffet reviews, with entries open through Halloween. The advertised prize is a $5,000 total package, including travel, rather than $5,000 cash with airfare and a hotel added on top.

The gaming publisher’s promotion opened October 1. The winner will make a two-night Friday-and-Saturday visit, eat at four assigned buffets and assess food, atmosphere and value.

The buffets have not been publicly named. Casino.org supplies the assignment, and the trip and reviews must be completed by December 20. The Halloween theme belongs to the contest; it does not require the winner to travel on Halloween weekend.

What the $5,000 package pays

Under the official rules, Casino.org arranges an economy flight and a standard hotel stay, with those travel costs capped at $1,000. The actual cost comes out of the first $2,500 installment, leaving the winner at least $1,500 in cash from that installment.

A second $2,500 payment follows completion of the assignment. If arranged travel reaches the $1,000 cap, the package therefore amounts to $1,000 in travel and $4,000 in cash.

Buffet admissions, other meals, tips, taxes and local transportation are expenses the winner covers from the cash portion. The headline number is useful only with that budget in view: four buffet meals still have to be paid for.

Entry is open to residents of the 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., ages 21 and older. No purchase or gambling is required. The rules allow one entry per person, with a winner selected by random draw; entries close October 31 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.

The promotion calls the assignment a buffet “dream job,” but it is a contest prize with required reviews, not an ongoing restaurant-reviewing position. Applicants should read the linked official rules for the full conditions before entering.
