Street tacos on Tuesday, fried fish on Thursday and chilaquiles on the month’s last Sunday: Cantina at Presidio in Goodyear, AZ, has several places for an unlimited meal in its calendar.
The restaurant is inside Estrella’s Presidio Residents Club at 18209 West Calistoga Drive. It is open to the public, with indoor and patio seating, televisions and a menu of Mexican-inspired dishes and American favorites.
Taco rounds on Tuesday and fish on Thursday
The Tuesday taco night runs from 4 to 8 p.m. for $20 per person. Street tacos come with a choice of meat, onion and cilantro, plus rice and beans on the side.
Trivia runs from 5 to 7 p.m., giving the table something to debate between rounds. The calendar says reservations are unnecessary.
Thursday’s $25 fish fry pairs unlimited fish with elote tartar sauce and a side of fries.
The last Sunday brings brunch
The Presidio Demo Kitchen hosts a $20 all-you-can-eat brunch on the last Sunday of each month. Recent menus have included an egg station, chilaquiles, waffles, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, potatoes and fruit.
That is plenty of territory for a breakfast plate, especially for diners who want something savory before moving on to waffles or French toast. Mimosas and Bloody Marys are available from a cash bar.
The recurring calendar description lists brunch from 10 a.m. to noon and provides an RSVP link. Individual entries have shown different times, so guests should check the listing for their chosen month before arriving.
The Cantina is the third restaurant from Huyer Club Concepts, joining Lakeside Grill and Café Bebida. Estrella resident Deborah Huyer owns the company, with Forrest Williams as executive chef and Brenda Williams as general manager.
