Bombing Pot is putting lobster on the invitation to its October 12 grand-opening celebration in West Homestead, Pennsylvania. The Waterfront’s announcement schedules the event for noon–10 p.m., with a noon ribbon cutting and a free half lobster for customers while supplies last.
The restaurant at 245 West Bridge Street brings all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue, hot pot and freshly made-to-order sushi to the shopping center. It was already serving before the formal celebration, so October 12 marks the ribbon-and-lobster occasion rather than an established first day of restaurant service.
For the regular operation, The Waterfront’s tenant listing posts weekday lunch from noon–3 p.m., with all-day dinner on Saturdays and Sundays. Regular closing times are 10:30 p.m. Sunday–Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday–Saturday.
A published menu snapshot offers a sense of the choices: bulgogi, brisket and pork belly on the barbecue side; tomato, tonkotsu, tom yum and Szechuan spicy among nine listed broths; and sushi rolls including Dragon and Godzilla. Several steak and seafood selections carry dinner-only labels, giving the lunch and dinner offerings different lineups.
The project formerly known as Running Dish
There is a longer story behind the new sign. In September 2024, local coverage announced Running Dish as a future Waterfront tenant, with Korean BBQ, hot pot and revolving sushi planned for a space across from Starbucks. WPXI reported that a lease had been signed and the project was in permitting.
Community publication PennsylvAsia subsequently connected the project to the team behind Sushi Bomb in Robinson and a Running Dish location in Sterling, Virginia. By September 2025, it was reporting the change of name to Bombing Pot.
The same reporting identified the space’s former retail tenants as Versona, Charming Charlie and American Eagle. A storefront once associated with clothing and accessories has been fitted for a rather different sort of tabletop activity.
The current landlord description emphasizes freshly made-to-order sushi; the revolving-sushi feature mentioned in the earlier plans has not been confirmed in the operating restaurant. With meal hours posted and the ribbon cutting scheduled, a project first announced two years ago has reached the dinner stage.
