Bliss & Fish has added a Sunday buffet to its Lebanese-American restaurant in downtown Pinckney. The recurring meal runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 102 S. Howell Street, following a September 13 launch.
The restaurant’s announced buffet selection includes lemon-garlic chicken, chicken gallaba, stuffed lamb and rotating favorites chosen by owner Shadia Zamlut. Rice, hummus, pita, salads, lentil soup and rice pudding round out the spread, with the selection subject to change.
Reservations are strongly encouraged in the event announcement. Beverages, tax and gratuity are additional, and guests should check with the restaurant for the current Sunday selection when making plans.
The buffet adds a weekly way to explore the Mediterranean side of a restaurant with two distinct family food traditions. Its regular menu includes shawarma, kafta and tawook alongside fish and chips made with Icelandic cod. The regular menu and buffet are separate offerings, so a favorite à la carte dish should not automatically be assumed part of Sunday’s spread.
A family connection from Redford to Pinckney
Zamlut’s father, Joe, operated Bet & Jessie’s Fish & Chips in Redford from 1979 to 2013. Bliss & Fish draws on that history while also serving food rooted in the family’s Lebanese heritage.
The family connection extends to olive oil. Through Mediterranean Gold, the family imports extra-virgin olive oil from Lebanese family farms, a detail that helps explain the restaurant’s interest in the ingredients behind its Mediterranean dishes.
Bliss & Fish took over the former Fondness Sushi Bar space. WHMI reported its plans in March 2025, followed by an announcement of a May 3 grand opening. The current development is therefore an added dining format at an established restaurant, rather than a new restaurant debut.
