Asian Grand in Bridgeport, CT, and Nova in Enfield, CT, Add Two Planned Buffets

Separate lease records support the plans, with Bridgeport targeting 2027 and Enfield awaiting an opening timeline.

Connecticut has two separate buffet developments to follow, with different addresses and different schedules. Asian Grand is planned for Bridgeport, while Nova Buffet is expected to take over a former Japanese restaurant space in Enfield.

Leasing announcements support both plans, while local coverage provides the restaurant details. The projects are being reported separately, with no announced ownership connection.

Asian Grand targets a 2027 debut in Bridgeport

Asian Grand is planned for 1234 Huntington Turnpike, in a retail center near Trumbull and Stratford. The Connecticut Scoop’s August 24 report describes Asian food, seafood and sushi, with an ocean-themed interior, lighting effects and a large private dining area available for events.

The report places the anticipated opening in 2027 and says construction is expected to begin soon. That remains a target rather than a confirmed opening appointment.

An earlier June 26 lease announcement in the New England Real Estate Journal identifies Asian Grand Buffet Inc. as a tenant at the center. Bruce Wettenstein and Silvester Garza of Vidal/Wettenstein handled leasing for the owner as the property reached full occupancy.

That announcement establishes the signed lease behind the later restaurant plans. The center’s other businesses include Crisp Cannabis and Crave Deli, according to the local account.

The private dining area is a useful addition for groups: it would give the buffet a separate setting for parties and events. The ocean-themed room, meanwhile, could make the restaurant’s seafood identity visible before guests reach the serving line.

Nova takes aim at the former Oyama space in Enfield

In Enfield, The Connecticut Scoop reported August 11 that Nova Buffet is planned for 130 Elm Street at Freshwater Stateline Plaza. The space previously housed Oyama Japanese Cuisine.

The landlord’s current leasing materials identify a 9,500-square-foot buffet tenant in unit 40, listed as “Nove Buffet.” That slightly different spelling accompanies the same proposed buffet space; the final public-facing name has not been confirmed by an operator announcement.

The local report anticipates Chinese, Japanese and American selections, but an official menu, pricing and opening timeline have not been published. The former Oyama occupancy is useful context for the location; it does not establish that the buffet will retain Oyama’s menu or operators.

Bridgeport has a reported year to watch, while Enfield awaits an opening timetable. Neither restaurant has published final buffet prices. As the projects progress, their menus should give diners a better sense of how two separate plans will fill their respective serving lines.
