EXPERIENCE

Fuji Feast is a made-to-order all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant rather than a walk-up buffet. The format runs through repeated table orders during a 90-minute dining window, with three price levels: a $23.95 lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., a $28.95 all-day sushi option, and a $35.95 all-day package that adds the seafood-boil program. Guests are asked to order a little at a time; leftovers are charged, although they may be taken home.

That structure makes the meal less about circling stations and more about pacing rounds. Regular rolls, nigiri, starters and specialty rolls can be mixed across successive orders. The all-day menu broadens the selection with premium fish, sweet shrimp and uni pasta, while the seafood tier changes the meal again by placing Cajun-style shellfish alongside the sushi order.

The setting is casual and compact, in Nellis Plaza on the east side of Las Vegas. Dark ceilings, hanging lantern-style lights, Japanese graphics and warm wood tones give the room more personality than the straightforward strip-center exterior suggests. Fuji Feast is not trying to reproduce the scale of a resort buffet; its abundance comes from how many prepared-to-order directions the menu can take.

The rules are simple enough to understand before ordering. AYCE food cannot be shared with a non-AYCE guest, and groups of five or more are charged a 15 percent gratuity. Several premium items also carry per-person limits. Those boundaries keep the 90-minute format controlled while still leaving room to move from appetizers to nigiri, rolls, hot dishes and, at the top tier, a full shellfish round.

Greater Las Vegas Destination

FOOD

Fuji Feast’s AYCE menu is broader than rolls alone. The lunch tier covers a substantial sushi selection, while the $28.95 all-day tier adds premium items including sweet shrimp and uni pasta. Across the menu, the core choices divide into nigiri, maki, specialty rolls, starters, skewers, rice and noodle dishes, and a few controlled premium specials. The $35.95 tier keeps that sushi menu in play and adds the seafood-boil component.

Starters give the first rounds plenty of range. The menu includes gyoza, egg rolls, sesame balls, shrimp and vegetable tempura, edamame, fried shumai, popcorn chicken, teriyaki chicken, baked mussels, Cajun fries, agedashi tofu, seaweed salad, takoyaki, chicken wings, miso soup and salmon kama. Fuji Feast also keeps several more distinctive fried options in the mix: enoki chips; soft-shell crab; Monkey Brain, made with avocado, crab and spicy tuna; and a fried nori wrap filled with spicy crab.

Nigiri covers the familiar fish and several less-basic choices. Salmon, tuna, shrimp, squid, yellowtail, mackerel, octopus, albacore, white tuna and freshwater eel appear alongside crab stick, inari, tamago, masago, tobiko, salmon roe, scallop and surf clam. The all-day level extends the selection with sweet shrimp and uni pasta among the higher-priced offerings.

Rolls make up the largest part of the menu. Regular choices include California, tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, Philadelphia, Alaskan, yellowtail and seared tuna, plus cucumber, avocado and other vegetable rolls. Specialty sections then branch into deep-fried, baked, tempura, “famous” and spicy rolls. Examples include Crunchy Philly, Japanese Lasagna, Lion King, Monster, Tiger, MGM, Bellagio, Dragon, Rainbow, Fuji Mango, Hot Valley and Spicy 911. Several rolls combine shrimp tempura, crab, salmon, tuna, eel, avocado, jalapeño, mango, spicy mayo and eel sauce in different combinations.

A small group of all-day specials carries tighter limits. Towering Sashimi Poke, Sashimi Roll, Q Roll, Stuff Tomato and Seafood Salad are limited to one order per person. Skewers are another all-day section, with chicken yakitori, beef, squid, shrimp and sausage, limited to two orders per person. Rice and noodle choices include egg, shrimp and unagi fried rice, shrimp-tempura udon and seafood pasta.

At the $35.95 level, the seafood-boil program becomes part of the AYCE meal. Each guest receives one cluster of snow crab and one order of cocktail shrimp. Head-on shrimp, green mussels, crawfish and clams can then be reordered, with the restaurant limiting each of those shellfish choices to a maximum of three orders per person in a round. This is the clearest dividing line in the format: the top tier turns a sushi meal into a combined sushi-and-shellfish feast.

Dessert is short and controlled rather than another large menu category. Matcha, vanilla and pistachio ice cream are limited to one order per person. Taken as a whole, Fuji Feast works best as an order-driven AYCE menu with several layers: a large base of sushi and starters, an expanded all-day selection, and a final seafood-boil tier for guests who want crab and shellfish added to the same 90-minute meal.
