Viet Buffet in Rogers, Arkansas, has announced that Sunday, October 25, will be its final day of service, with permanent closure taking effect Monday, October 26.
The restaurant’s farewell announcement is followed by an invitation to return for one last October 23–25 weekend, with service advertised from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The buffet is at 535 N. 46th Street; its phone number is 479-335-2980.
The closure ends a comparatively short run for a restaurant with a particularly welcome idea: giving Vietnamese home cooking a buffet of its own. Viet’s official website credits the Do family with a repertoire of more than 30 dishes, drawing from family recipes and everyday meals as well as widely familiar Vietnamese favorites.
Its published menu reaches from phở and bún bò Huế to bánh xèo, braised fish with sour soup, lemongrass meats and bánh bèo. Chè desserts also feature, including banana tapioca pudding and Vietnamese fruit cocktail. That is a persuasive reason to remember dessert before the plate gets too ambitious.
The restaurant offers an à la carte takeout menu alongside the buffet, so the published dish list should not be read as a promise that every item appears on every buffet service. It does show the range of the kitchen, including dishes that can be harder to encounter together in a conventional mixed-Asian buffet.
The restaurant’s online price sheet lists adults at $17.99 for weekday lunch, $19.99 for weekday dinner and $24.99 for the weekend buffet. Friday dinner falls under weekend pricing, as do Saturday and Sunday all day. The farewell weekend’s announcement does not provide a separate promotional price.
Viet Buffet identifies its establishment year as 2025. Rogers city records show a restaurant business license issued October 30 of that year, with Johnny Nguyen listed as the contact, followed by opening coverage in November. The North 46th Street address had previously been used by Johnny Carino’s.
