KPOT is planning a Korean barbecue and hot-pot restaurant at 13945 Research Boulevard, Suite B-5, in Austin, Texas. The company’s Austin–Round Rock location page lists the restaurant as coming soon, with hours still to be determined.
The address is in The Hub at Research and 45 shopping center. A state project registration describes a $500,000 remodel of existing lease space for a new restaurant, covering 7,686 square feet.
Filed March 25, that project has a construction schedule running June 15 through December 15, 2026. The December date is a completion target in the paperwork, not an announced restaurant opening.
Although KPOT calls the location Austin–Round Rock, its published address is Austin. The state filing uses Highway 183 North instead of Research Boulevard; both refer to the same street address and suite.
The brand already has Austin-market history. Its Sunset Valley restaurant on Brodie Lane opened in 2023, when another KPOT was also being discussed for the Arboretum area at 10000 Research Boulevard. This project is farther along Research Boulevard at the separate 13945 address.
KPOT’s national menu gives a sense of the meal coming into view: tabletop grilling and individual hot pots, with bulgogi, brisket, pork belly, chicken and garlic shrimp among the barbecue selections. Hot-pot choices range across sliced meats, seafood, vegetables and noodles, with broth options including tom yum.
The sauce and appetizer bar supplies kimchi, pickled vegetables, salads and the ingredients for whatever dipping-sauce combination becomes the evening’s favorite. There is room for some experimentation between rounds of brisket.
Lunch and dinner selections differ, and KPOT says both offerings and prices vary by restaurant. That means the new Austin location’s rates, any charge for combining barbecue and hot pot, and its exact menu will need their own announcement.
