Fogo de Chão is planning its first Tampa Bay restaurant in Lutz, Florida, near Tampa Premium Outlets and neighboring Wesley Chapel, according to an October 9 Tampa Bay Business Journal report. The Pasco County project would bring the chain’s tableside churrasco and Market Table to the area.
The business journal describes a restaurant of approximately 8,100 square feet on 1.2 acres. Simon lists Tampa Premium Outlets in Lutz, although some coverage places the restaurant project under the neighboring Wesley Chapel area label.
The proposal has been circulating since summer. The Wesley Chapel Loop reported August 17 that plans had been submitted July 30 and described the project as being in the early stages of development. The October business-journal report adds a more recent account of the planned first Tampa Bay location; an opening date has yet to be established.
For Fogo regulars, the useful part of that future dinner is the combination of carved meats and the Market Table. The company’s description of its Full Churrasco experience includes picanha, filet mignon, ribeye, fraldinha and lamb, together with the Market Table, Feijoada Bar and Brazilian sides.
The Market Table’s regular cast includes hearts of palm, mozzarella, artichokes, smoked salmon and cheeses, while the Feijoada Bar supplies the black-bean stew, rice and farofa. Warm pão de queijo arrives at the table. The cheese bread has a way of becoming its own course without anyone formally voting on the matter.
Fogo also offers Market Table-only dining. These are descriptions of the chain’s established format, rather than a finalized Lutz menu or price list; restaurant pricing varies by location and meal period.
The company’s broader expansion continues. In its January 2026 growth announcement, Fogo outlined plans for 14–16 domestic and international openings during the year and a pipeline extending into 2027. That announcement does not assign Lutz an opening year.
For the Tampa Bay project, prices and other location-specific dining details have yet to be announced. The picanha has a proposed destination; it does not yet have a date.
