The Saturday brunch at Bizarre Bar comes with considerably more choreography than the usual trip back to the buffet. Viva Drag Brunch Vegas combines an all-you-can-enjoy spread, bottomless mimosas and a rotating drag production at the Arts District venue.
The show runs Saturdays at noon at 1301 S Main Street, Suite 200. The operator advertises tickets starting at $64.99, including the buffet, the performance and mimosas during the experience. Guests must be 21 or older and bring valid identification.
Jesus Nanci Productions is behind the 75-minute show, which pairs drag performers with professional dancers and audience participation. This is an established Saturday offering: BroadwayWorld covered its refreshed production July 15, well before the October brunch calendar.
Breakfast gets a little stage presence
That summer coverage described a buffet with breakfast favorites, avocado and turkey sandwiches, sliders and a dessert cart, alongside coffee, water and mimosas. The exact spread can vary, but it gives the production a proper brunch component alongside the stage show.
The rotating cast keeps the performance from being tied to one fixed lineup. For diners who usually measure brunch by the next plate, this one adds another consideration: whether to head for the buffet now or see what happens onstage first.
VIP check-in begins at 11:15 a.m., with general-admission arrival later. Selected VIP packages include an additional cocktail, and other drinks are available for purchase. The included bottomless beverage is the mimosa, so the bar menu still has its own prices.
A former Swan Dive space finds a new identity
Bizarre Bar occupies the second-floor Colorado Building space formerly used by Swan Dive. In an April owner post, Tim Kam described buying out the majority owner and remodeling the room to feel more like a bar where people could spend time, while continuing to host performances.
The venue change and Viva’s refreshed show explain why the address may sound familiar to downtown nightlife regulars. Saturday noon gives the room another use, with brunch tables joining its lineup of performances. Guests get their buffet, their mimosas and considerably more entertainment than a debate over who took the last slider.
