Saturday buffet plans need a small adjustment at Grand Tandoori in Plano, Texas. The restaurant has shifted its weekend buffet to Sundays only, effective October 2026, while continuing regular Saturday dining, catering and events.
The operator says juggling the Saturday buffet with increased demand for parties, catering and à la carte orders had become challenging. Dropping that buffet service gives the restaurant more room to handle those bookings. Sunday’s breakfast, brunch and lunch spread continues from 1 to 4 p.m. at 4101 E Park Boulevard, Suite 121, with revised prices for October.
The change trims one buffet day from the week, but leaves a fairly substantial Sunday appointment: kebabs, curries, biryani and halwa-puri-choley still share the menu. It is the sort of spread that makes the distinction between breakfast and lunch pleasantly difficult to maintain.
What Sunday costs now
The restaurant’s updated menu flyer lists the buffet at $19.99 for adults, $18.49 for seniors 60 and older, and $12.99 for children ages 5–10. Children under five eat free. The flyer’s adult and child age bands overlap at age 10, so families with a ten-year-old should confirm that charge with the restaurant.
Tax is additional, and parties of six or more receive an automatic 18% gratuity. Tea and lemonade are among the included beverages; soda cans cost extra. The restaurant also advertises buffet food to go at $9 per pound.
A halal spread from chaat to dessert
The Zabiha-halal buffet menu includes pani puri, papdi chaat and chicken 65, with chicken seekh kebab and chicken tikka among the grilled selections. Main dishes include rotating preparations such as nihari or paya, goat or chicken karahi, chicken haleem and butter chicken.
Biryani, rice and naan handle the essential supporting work. Halwa-puri-choley gives the table its breakfast connection, while kheer and gulab jamun make a case for saving a little room at the end. Some dishes rotate, so the flyer is a guide to the spread rather than a promise that every listed preparation appears together.
Advance reservations are highly recommended for Sunday buffet service. The restaurant remains open Tuesday through Sunday and closes Mondays; its Friday schedule includes a break from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday visitors can still order from the regular menu. For the buffet, Sunday is the day to circle.
