Crab legs, sushi and a bowl of pho all have a place at Hibachi Grill Seafood Buffet in Takoma Park. The restaurant at 6867 New Hampshire Avenue has brought a large seafood buffet and live hibachi cooking to a dining room advertised to seat up to 300 guests.
The MoCo Show’s July coverage placed the restaurant’s initial opening in May. It was already serving diners before its July 24 grand-opening celebration.
Seafood, sushi and something from the grill
The restaurant’s website highlights crab legs, shrimp and oysters alongside Chinese dishes, American selections and desserts. Steak and chicken are among the grill offerings, while sushi and noodles give diners plenty of reasons to wander beyond the seafood trays.
Adult weekday lunch is $16.99 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the restaurant’s price page. Monday–Thursday dinner is $23.99; Friday dinner and all-day weekend dining are $24.99.
Most dine-in drinks are included, except bottled juice and alcohol. The restaurant allows two hours for the meal and adds a 12% service charge for parties of six or more, counting babies in the group.
Free on-site parking and the sizable dining room make room for larger gatherings as well as neighborhood meals. With sushi, hibachi and seafood in the mix, a group can head in several directions and still meet back at the same table.
Posted hours run until 9:45 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
