Kumo Japanese Seafood Buffet in Parma is promising another addition to an already busy meal: Korean barbecue is coming soon. The notice appears on the restaurant’s website, alongside its current buffet and hot-pot prices.
The restaurant at 1975 Snow Road has not announced a barbecue start date, menu or price. Its existing buffet brings sushi, seafood, hot dishes and hot pot together; Korean barbecue would add another reason to settle in for dinner.
Plenty on the table already
A June 25 account on Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Eats described nigiri, sushi rolls, peel-and-eat shrimp, dumplings and egg rolls, along with chicken, beef, pork and seafood dishes. Soups, a salad bar and desserts rounded out the meal, with ice cream, pudding and fruit among the finishes.
The writer’s visits stretched back to 2015. The barbecue announcement comes from an established buffet with a broad selection already, though the dishes available on any particular visit can vary.
Kumo currently lists adult lunch at $14.99 Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dinner is $23.99, and Sunday is $23.99 all day. Hot pot is included with dinner and Sunday dining, or costs an extra $1 at lunch. Drinks are $2.99.
The barbecue details are still to come, including whether it will be part of the buffet price or an extra charge. For now, Kumo’s coming-soon notice points to a new addition at a restaurant where the sushi counter and hot pot already give diners plenty to work on.
