A Clermont restaurant space with two previous dining identities has made another change: the former GoodTown Buffet is now Shin Sushi, serving made-to-order all-you-can-eat Japanese food at 2475 S. Highway 27.
The restaurant announced a July 9 soft opening. South Lake Tablet subsequently reported that the Clermont Landing space had changed from Red Lobster to GoodTown and then to Shin, with much of the existing dining room retained during the conversion.
The larger change is how dinner arrives. GoodTown’s buffet format has given way to sushi rolls, appetizers, hibachi dishes and other entrées prepared to order. Guests can keep ordering within the all-you-can-eat meal, rather than assemble each plate from a steam-table line.
Tasty Chomps’ July restaurant roundup described Shin as operating under new ownership compared with GoodTown. It also reported à la carte and takeout options, giving the restaurant ways to serve diners beyond the AYCE meal.
A later Tasty Chomps video listed adult all-you-can-eat prices of $22.95 for lunch and $35.95 for dinner. Current prices and dining conditions should be confirmed with Shin, particularly when planning around a specific meal period.
The restaurant’s current social profile lists daily service beginning at 11:30 a.m., with last seating at 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. These are last-seating times, which matter when a meal involves more than one round of orders.
