Pensacola, FL, has gained two all-you-can-eat sushi-and-hibachi restaurants in successive months: Arashi on Pine Forest Road and Izumi on Airport Boulevard.
Arashi’s September 14 debut followed Izumi’s August opening. The arrivals put more than sushi rolls on the unlimited menu, with cooked Japanese dishes alongside the fish, and bring two different business backgrounds into the local AYCE market.
Arashi arrives on Pine Forest Road
Arashi occupies Unit 600 at 6705 Pine Forest Road in Pine Forest Corners. The Pensacola News Journal’s opening report announced an 11 a.m. start on September 14 and described a menu spanning sushi, hibachi, noodles, soups and salads.
The restaurant’s official ordering site identifies it as Arashi Sushi & Hibachi All You Can Eat. Its posted hours begin at 11 a.m., with closing at 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Florida corporate records connect the Pensacola business with Arashi in Crestview. Arashi Sushi Pensacola LLC, filed in March 2026, lists Yong Lin as manager. Arashi Sushi Crestview LLC lists Lin as president. Those records establish common management, although they do not describe the restaurants as part of a national chain.
The Pine Forest unit has earlier restaurant directory listings for Louisiana Lunchbox and Southpaw Grill. The immediate tenant before Arashi, and the sequence of vacancies between those businesses, remain unconfirmed.
Arashi’s online prices are for individual dishes and combinations. A verified dine-in AYCE price was not available in the sources reviewed, so those takeout figures should not be read as the cost of unlimited dining.
Izumi brings a multistate group to Airport Boulevard
Izumi Sushi & Hibachi opened at 1240 Airport Boulevard, a restaurant site previously occupied by Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux and, before that, TGI Fridays. Walk-On’s arrived in 2022; its closure was reported in November 2023.
The North Dakota-founded Izumi group’s current directory names ten restaurants across North Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Mississippi and Florida. Pensacola is its listed Florida location.
In an August 13 opening report, the Pensacola News Journal quoted general manager Jason Liu describing AYCE service built around successive table orders. Diners share an order sheet for each round, and smaller portions allow them to sample several dishes. The published opening prices were $21.95 per adult for lunch and $31.95 for dinner, with discounted rates for ages 3–10 and free dining for children under 3.
That report described sushi, hibachi, tempura, teriyaki, soups and appetizers, with a larger sushi selection at dinner. It also noted a charge for uneaten food, without specifying an amount. The opening prices have not been independently reconfirmed as current.
Izumi calls the offer a buffet on its website, but the reported service is made to order and delivered after table orders. The abundance arrives in rounds: another sheet, another selection, and a chance to try something the first order left unexplored.
