A KFC buffet has returned to Fort Myers — and this one has progressed well beyond rumor.
Multiple social-media reports from the South Cleveland Avenue KFC show the restaurant advertising the return outside and operating the buffet inside. A roadside sign photographed Sept. 26 reads “BUFFET IS BACK” and advertises a $13.99 price, while separate short-form videos circulating from the location show walk-throughs of the buffet line in use.
The restaurant is the KFC at 12250 South Cleveland Ave., near US-41 and Crystal Drive. KFC’s corporate location page confirms the restaurant and its general operating hours, but it does not currently mention the buffet, its service hours or its price.
The Sign Says It Plainly: Buffet Is Back
That distinction is important because KFC buffets have become the sort of restaurant relic whose reported return often travels faster than confirmation. Here, several pieces of current social evidence point in the same direction: exterior signage specifically advertising a buffet, a posted price and videos showing the line itself.
What has not surfaced is a formal announcement from KFC describing the Fort Myers buffet as part of a national program. The evidence supports a location-level revival, not a chainwide comeback.
The $13.99 figure is also better supported than some of the other details circulating online because it appears on the photographed restaurant sign. A separate social comment put a drink at roughly $3, but no current menu or first-party price sheet has been located to verify that charge, so it is better treated as unconfirmed.
A Return, Not a New Experiment
The South Cleveland Avenue restaurant has buffet history. A dated customer report from February 2020 described an $8.99 buffet at the same KFC, excluding the drink, with salad and desserts included. That establishes the current $13.99 offer as a revival of a format this restaurant previously operated rather than a completely new test.
The remaining practical details are still missing. KFC’s official page lists the restaurant as open from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, but those are store hours and should not be assumed to be buffet hours. The buffet’s days of operation, serving window, child price and exact lineup have not been formally posted.
Still, for a format that once seemed headed for the fast-food history books, a lit roadside sign and a working buffet line are fairly substantial signs of life. Fort Myers has its KFC buffet back; now we just need to know when to show up hungry.
