Lefty’s Oyster & Seafood Bar in Sarasota, Florida, has added a recurring all-you-can-eat fish and chips offer for $20 every Wednesday. The restaurant announced the program Sept. 22 and says it is available all day, with crinkle-cut fries and housemade coleslaw alongside the fish.
No end date has been announced. That makes the promotion more useful than a one-night special and gives diners a predictable weekly unlimited option in Sarasota’s Rosemary District.
Every Wednesday Is Now Unlimited Fish and Chips at Lefty’s
Lefty’s is not otherwise an all-you-can-eat restaurant. The independent seafood and oyster bar opened in January 2025 as a polished-casual concept centered on oysters, seafood and cocktails. Wednesday therefore operates as a separate format layered onto the normal restaurant rather than an extension of a buffet identity.
That model has become increasingly common among conventional restaurants. A recurring AYCE night can create a distinct traffic driver without forcing the kitchen to absorb unlimited economics seven days a week. It also gives regular customers a reason to associate a specific weekday with the restaurant.
The Offer Gives an À-La-Carte Seafood Restaurant a Weekly AYCE Identity
Fish and chips is particularly well suited to the approach: the offer is narrow, the accompaniments are fixed and the restaurant can focus production on a dish designed to be replenished. There is no need to maintain the enormous variety of a buffet simply to deliver the unlimited promise.
For now, Wednesday in Sarasota means $20 and another round if wanted. Lefty’s has not said how long the program will last, so the most important word in the announcement may be “every.”
