It’s KBBQ & Shabu Shabu is now operating in soft opening at 3940 NE Loop 820, Suite 550, in Haltom City, Texas, adding a second Dallas-Fort Worth location to the concept after Grand Prairie.
The restaurant sits inside the rapidly developing H Mart-anchored center near Loop 820 and North Beach Street. Its own website now labels Haltom City “Now Open,” confirming that the long-developed project has moved from construction into service.
Haltom City Gets KBBQ, Shabu Shabu, Conveyor Service and a Buffet
The format is unusually layered even by modern AYCE standards. Guests can combine tabletop Korean barbecue, individual shabu shabu hot pot, conveyor-belt service and a self-serve buffet, with more than 60 cook-your-own items advertised across the experience.
Current adult pricing is $20.95 for weekday lunch, $30.95 for dinner and $39.95 for the premium menu. Adding both shabu shabu and KBBQ to the same meal costs an additional $5. That gives diners a ladder from a relatively inexpensive lunch to a broader premium experience without requiring a completely different restaurant concept.

The surrounding development is becoming a destination of its own. Fort Worth-area reporting says 22 of the center’s 45 tenants are operating, with another 23 still to come. One of those future tenants is Nigori Sushi & Grill, an AYCE sushi concept planned nearby.
That means It’s KBBQ is not opening in isolation. It is helping establish an entire cluster of Asian dining around the new H Mart, with unlimited formats playing a conspicuous role. For diners who have trouble choosing between grill, broth and buffet, the restaurant’s answer is essentially not to choose.
