Urbana Lodge will close permanently Sunday, Sept. 27, ending a run of just over a year at 3335 Worthington Boulevard in Urbana, Maryland. The restaurant’s brunch and dinner buffets, normally priced at $24.99, will be half-price on the final day.
The closing does not mark the restaurant group’s exit from the address. The operators behind Urbana Lodge, Clarks Lodge in Clarksburg and Creek Lodge in Rockville plan to reopen the space as Maharaja Palace. Final-day Urbana Lodge diners will receive a $10 discount toward their first visit to the new restaurant.
Urbana Lodge Ends After Just Over a Year
Urbana Lodge opened in July 2025 in a former Buffalo Wild Wings, building a broad casual-dining menu around an unusually prominent buffet component. The concept sat somewhere between American comfort-food restaurant and international buffet, with the all-you-can-eat service helping distinguish it from the group’s other Lodge-branded restaurants.
The change therefore matters less as a building closure than as a format reset. Maharaja Palace has not announced an opening date, and the operators have not said whether the replacement restaurant will continue any buffet service. Until that question is answered, Sept. 27 is not only the final day for Urbana Lodge but the last confirmed day for unlimited dining at the address.
Maharaja Palace Will Take Over the Former Buffalo Wild Wings Space
The half-price final buffet creates an oddly symmetrical ending: the restaurant is closing the same way many buffet fans would choose to say goodbye, with one more plate and a reason to make the final plate slightly less final.
The next story belongs to Maharaja Palace. For now, all that is confirmed is the handoff of the space and the disappearance of Urbana Lodge’s buffet after Sunday.
